BUFFALO, NY – It may not be the Bills, but Buffalo is headed to the Super Bowl! The AMETEK Foundation, the charitable arm of Reichert’s corporate parent, AMETEK, Inc., is a sponsor. It has partnered with the Eagles Charitable Foundation for nearly 20 years on a variety of charitable projects, most recently the Eye Mobile and Glasses Lab, which has reached more than 80,000 children and distributed more than 55,000 pairs of glasses. The week-long road trip was kicked off with a pep rally attended by Eagles cheerleaders and the Eagles Pep Band at AMETEK’s corporate headquarters in Berwyn, PA, on Friday, January 26. The tour includes stops in La Grange, IL; Racine, WI; Milwaukee, WI; and Bismark, ND, before reaching Minneapolis, MN. “At the Eagles, we believe strongly that every child should have access to comprehensive eye care. If you can’t see, you can’t read. If you can’t read, you can’t learn,” states Christina Weiss Lurie, President of the Eagles Charitable Foundation. “We are pleased to partner with the AMETEK Foundation and to be able to extend our services across the country on the road to Minnesota in honor of our wonderful players.” Founded in 1995 with the help of partners like AMETEK, the Eagles Charitable Foundation has reached more than one million children in the Philadelphia region through health and educational programs. The Eagles Eye Mobile and Glasses Lab equipped with Reichert instruments makes daily visits to Philadelphia schools and travels to more than 120 schools annually.
